‘Sketch of the Country between Zaida and Aden’

The map tracing shows a sketch of the country between Zaida [Za’idah] and Aden. It was traced to show the location of the Huswah [Al-Huswah, written as Haswah on the map] opposite Steamer Point on the other side of Aden Harbour.
The map indicates place names, roads, forts, topography and stylised representations of vegetation. Tribe names are also included. The harbour and coast is indicated by blue shading. Lines showing present and past ducts and irrigation canals in red, green, blue and yellow are keyed to a reference.
The map is signed by A T Mander, Executive Engineer in Aden.
