Map drawn by Lieutenant Charles John Cruttenden, Assistant Political Agent, Aden, included in his report entitled ‘Memoir on the Western or Edoor [Dir] Tribe inhabiting the Somali Coast’. The map shows the Horn of Africa, indicating the tribes that inhabit each area, as well as hydrology and settlements.
A note beneath the titles states that ‘The Webbi Shebeyli [Shebelle River] is taken from Lieutt Christophers Chart as far as Shibeli. The Joob or Gunana [Jubba River] is taken from Sir W. C. Harris Highlands of Ethiopia but brought more to the Northward.’
