The Naval Store premises consisting of a wharf, yard, warehouses, dwelling house and offices were sold by auction in May 1835 to Joseph Somes for £3,500. At the time of the sale, the copyhold was vested in Peter Auber, William Carter and Alexander James Scott as trustees for the East India Company.
