Fragments of various sizes from the same papyrus roll as Papyrus 1728, of which Papyrus 1728 is the first part and Papyrus 1745 the latter part; a gap is between them; written on both sides and in poor condition.

Scope & Content:
Conclusion of a lease of land in Coptic, the lessee being Colluthus, son of Apa Sia; the names of the lessors are lost. The terms of the lease, including the rent, are provided. With subscriptions of Colluthus and of four witnesses, and with Greek subscription of the notary Georgius.

Papyrus sheet, broken off at the top and left, darkened in places and damaged along the folds; with insect holes in places. Written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. There are 24 lines lacking the beginnings. The lower (60 mm) and right margins are extant. The sheet was rolled from bottom to top; sheet-joins running along the width are visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame
