Fragment of a medium-brown papyrus roll, complete at the bottom and broken off on the other sides; written on both sides. The front bears parts from the foot of a column and traces of another column, written along the fibres; the lower margin is extant. On the back, there are portions of one column written across the fibres. The lower margin is extant. Another fragment of the same roll is now in Oxford, at the Sackler Library, inventoried as 42 5B 78/J(3-4)b. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Fragments of a papyrus roll with Euripides’ Cresphontes with stage directions; possibly an actor’s copy of the script. This scene comes from the prologue of the play and part of the parodos, when Cresphontes returns to Messene to avenge his murdered father.

Six fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, numbered 1-6 in the frame; with writing along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. Fragment 1 bears the tops of three consecutive columns and part of the upper margin, measuring up to 10 mm; fragment 2 carries the remains of one column and part of the lower margin; fragment 3 a few letters from 7 lines; fragment 4 remains of 6 lines; fragment 5 a few letters from 2 lines; fragment 6 bears portions of 1 column. Letters are 2-3 mm high on average. The fragments are housed in a glass frame.

Fragment 1 bears the ends of 15 lines and part of the upper margin, measuring up to 25 mm; fragment 2 carries parts of 14 columns, lacking beginnings and ends; fragment 3 has a few letters from 6 lines; fragment 4 bears remains of 4 lines; fragment 5 carries a few letters from 3 lines. The fragments are housed in a glass frame.

Fifty-one fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, numbered 1-51 in the frame; with writing on both sides, along the fibres on the front, and across them on the back. Letter height is 4 mm on average, interlinear space 5 mm; the upper margin survives to 2 mm (fragment 6) and the lower to 59 mm (fragment 15). The fragments are housed in a glass frame.

Five fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, numbered 1-5 in the frame; with writing along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. Fragment 1 bears the mid portions of 26 lines; fragment 2 carries the ends of 8 lines from one column, and the beginnings of 9 lines of a second column; fragment 3 preserves parts of 7 lines, fragment 4 has portions of 4 lines and fragment 5 of 5 lines. The upper margin survives to 6 mm; the longest line may have been about 85 mm, while the column was presumably 93 mm. Letters are 2-3 mm wide and high on average. The fragments are housed in a glass frame.

Four papyrus fragments, three of which fit together, forming a composite fragment, written on one side along the fibres and preserving portions of three columns: the upper fragment, which is the largest, has few remains of the first column and the upper part of the second and third; the lower fragment contains the ends of the second and third columns. Upper and lower margin survive to approximately 3 and 4 cm respectively; the intercolumnium is 1.5 cm, and each column has an average of 10-15 letters, being approximately 4.5 cm wide. Housed in one glass case.

Six joining papyrus fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, written on one side along the fibres and preserving 28 lines from a bottom of a column; broken at the top, the lower margin being 4.5 cm and the side margins surviving to 2 cm. The average number of letters per line is 24. Traces of adjoining columns can be seen at either side. Another fragment from the same roll is P.Oxy. LXXXI 5262 (Sackler Library, inv. no. 102/24(a)), which preserves 13 lines written by the same hand. Debated whether also P.Oxy. XLVII 3319 belongs to the same roll. Damaged by wormholes throughout; housed in one glass case.
