Title:
Receipt for Overseer-Tax (P.Lond. II 352, TM 11733)
Scope & Content:
A receipt acknowledging that Canis, priest of Soknopaiou Nesos, has made payments ranging from 100 to 200 drachmas on different days on account of the tax for the maintenance of a superintendent (epistatikon) of the temple.

Papyrus sheet, complete, although slightly damaged in the left portion and along some of the vertical folds. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, with the back being blank. The text, consisting of 8 lines, is complete and occupies only the upper part of the sheet. All margins are extant, with the blank space at the bottom measuring 130-140 mm. The right margin is irregular. In the right edge, traces of ink are visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Scope & Content:
Letter addressed to the royal scribe of the meris of Herakleides from various priests of Soknopaiou Nesos, stating that they have submitted the list of priests and the inventory of the goods of the temple for the current year. With dating clause at the end.

Fragment of a light-brown papyrus sheet, broken off to the left and damaged by holes and abrasion; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. Parts of 14 lines remain, all lacking the beginning; upper, right and lower margins partly survive.

Petition to the Prefect (P.Lond. II 354, TM 11735)
Scope & Content:
A petition addressed to the prefect of Egypt Gaius Turranius by Satabous and his son, who complain about some wrong done by two brothers, both named Opis. The petitioners had been thrown in prison after trials, and now ask the prefect to instruct the strategus so that they may be released.

Papyrus sheet, darkened in places; almost complete, but lacking part of the left edge and damaged to the right; the surface is abraded in places, especially on the sides. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. The text occupies slightly more than half of the sheet, and consists of 28 lines, some of which are damaged at the beginning and end. Margins are extant, with no margin having been left to the right; the blank space at the bottom measures 145 mm. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Ruling of Seppius Rufus, whereby Satabous is sentenced to pay a sum of 500 drachmas on account of his purchasing some empty and ownerless plots from Chaeremon. Satabous had been accused by Nestnephis.

The text occupies the upper half of the sheet and consists of one column of 13 lines lacking the beginnings. End of a receipt acknowledging that Stotoetis’ sisters have paid part of the 840 drachmas that their mother Segathis owed him. Stotoetis, in return, renounces part of the claims on a slave-woman, Taorsenouphis, whom his mother had purchased and mortgaged as security.

Lower part of a papyrus sheet, lacking the beginning and damaged at the top. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back bearing no text. The foot of a column is preserved, with the first lines preserved being mutilated. The surface is abraded in places. Left, bottom and right margins are preserved, with the right being minimal. The blank space at the bottom measures 78-92 mm. A sheet-join running across the fibres along the height of the sheet is visible at the right. A few wormholes damaged the preserved portion without affecting the text. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Papyrus sheet, broken off at the top and sides, and with minor damage throughout; written on both sides. The front bears 17 lines (with a supralinear addition) running parallel with the fibres and lacking beginnings and few letters at the end. The lower margin measures 80 mm. On the back there are 27 lines, lacking beginnings and ends and running against the fibres. Part of the upper and the lower margins survive. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
