- Collection Area:
- Western Manuscripts
- Languages:
- Greek, Ancient
- Date Range:
- 2nd century-3rd century
- Extent:
- Papyrus sheet, dark-brown, in two fragments which were incorrectly joined by pasting a scrap of papyrus on the back, presumably in modern time; the papyrus is somewhat torn on the sides, but is otherwise well preserved. It bears writing on both sides. On the front, there are 14 lines across the fibres, with only a small trace surviving for lines 12 and 15. Traces of ink at the upper right corner are visible. Additional lines may have been lost in the break, between lines 11 and 12. On the back there is one line along the fibres, with the words separated by short and parallel horizontal lines framed by two verticals for sealing the document (sealing pattern); the scrap used to join the fragments bears a stroke of ink. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
