Two scrapbooks, compiled by the members of the Calcutta Light Opera Group and Society and its predecessor, the Calcutta Light Opera Group, which produced light operas and musicals for the Anglo Indian community of Calcutta between 1949 and 1965. The scrapbooks detail the activities of the society, its membership and actors, and the sixteen productions it put on between 1949 and 1965.
The scrapbooks consist primarily of material describing the Society's productions, including programmes, press cuttings, photographs of the productions, short typescript descriptions of the operas, and set design illustrations. Also included are headshots and photographs of the Society's actors and other participants, accompanied by typescript biographies.
