83038-83040. Lamb Papers (Series II). Vols. lxxvi-lxxviii. Records of Melbourne House; 1801-1830. Melbourne House, the London family residence of the Lambs, was situated in Piccadilly until 1791, when the property was exchanged for the Duke of York and Albany’s residence in Whitehall, known as York House. The Lambs took possession of the Whitehall premises on 25 December 1791 but the property was not legally known as Melbourne House until 31 October 1792. The documents in this series relate to the premises at Whitehall.
