- The Hampshire Hog was a freehold public house leased by John Brealey to Henry Thomas, with 19 years of the term still to run on 29 September 1864. 9 Gardeners Lane was a dwelling house at the rear of the Hampshire Hog leased by Brealey to Edward Higgs for a term expiring Michaelmas 1883. Higgs used part of the premises as a store and the rest was occupied as tenements. Higgs received compensation as the leaseholder and occupier of 9 Gardeners Lane, and Mr Henley received compensation as the occupier. Both properties were purchased for £1,900 by the Secretary of State.
