The file is made up of one report (in two parts), some telegrams, memos, and notes, concerning the native customs found in the Bamenda area in 1920-1921. It addresses topics such as marriage customs, burial customs, divination, jujus (secret societies), deities, land, trade, inheritance, clothing, etc. The author of the report is W.E. Hunt. It also contains a printed letter (at the end) sent by the Lagos Secretariat of the Southern Provinces, and outlining the themes which had to be addressed in the report.
The file has three covers, all but the most recent include some additional information concerning older file numbers.
95 sheets excluding the three covers. Paper, text; Sizes cover :22.5x33cm ; 22x34 ; Text documents are on sheets of many different sizes 21x14, 20x20.5 20.5x34, 40x34, 13x28 cm
In general the file is in fair conditions, although about half of the sheets are torn along the edges (especially the upper one). Sheets are of different weight (thin or thick).
