The 74 folders copied are part of a wider series including probably more than 10,000 sheets. The files generally contain correspondence, Intelligence reports, Assessment reports, maps, population surveys, pictures, and drawings mostly relating to villages within the territory administered under the Bamenda Division (1915-1949, 1954-1975) or the Bamenda Province (1949-1954).
The 74 folders copied include both textual and graphic materials. The former include hand- and type-written documents, sometimes also in coloured inks. The latter include maps (some of which have been drawn on cloth), photographs (only in black and white and of usually small size), and drawings (some of which are in colour).
Mostly English, some documents are written in French, German, or Arabic
