The file is made up of Memos, reports from Bamenda division, Southern provinces Nigeria and Cameroons Province Buea, produced in 1926,1927 and 1937. These items deal with the ethnographic assessment of issues concerning Bafut. The file has another reference which is the file number given by the creator of the original material(File No 213/1926).
47 sheets excluding the cover. Most of the textual documents have been written on sheets of two sizes: 20 X 33 cm ; 20 X 17 cm.
Most of the sheets are fragile and greatly mutilated at the edges. There are some very fragile items (e.g. page 23) which have been duplicated to prevent further deterioration. The original materials have been kept in an envelop in the same file. Some sheets have watermarks. Some sheets are written on both sides, others are handwritten in German. Some items are made up of more than one sheet of paper, some of them have been removed and others are missing (1,2,13,14,15,16,17,18,20).The verso of one page is written bottom-up and the text is in German (9).
