The file is made up of Memos, telegrams, extracts,reports,correspondence, from Bamenda division, produced between 1926 and 1948. These items deal with the assessment report of the Bafut tribal area. Some sheets are written on both sides, others are handwritten. The file has another reference which is the file number given by the creator of the original material (File No LG.1303). This file has various types of sheets (ruled ,thin and thick). It also has two subsequent files mentioned on the cover by the author but we don't have any information about their existence ; they are : 2193 and 3066. Also on the cover page, there are some notes about previous files and index which is not respected. In this file, we have found 2 items originally from the file number Ab3(c). We have turned them into the file number Ab3(c).
96 sheets excluding the cover. Most of the textual documents have been written on sheets of sizes: 20 X 33 cm ; 21 X 14 cm, 20X9 cm, 24 X 21 cm,33X 10 cm.
Most of the sheets are fragile and greatly mutilated at the edges. Some items are made up of more than one sheet of paper. Some of them have been removed or have been missing (The first item begin with number 84).The verso of one page is written bottom-up and the text is in German (178).
