The file is made up of text documents (correspondence, telegrams, memorandum,notes,airgram) setting the rules on the cattle control in the Banso Native Authority within the Bamenda Division. This settlement is taken by the Fon of Nsaw acting in the name of the British administration in this area. Some items are written on both sides of the sheets while some are handwritten and typed. On the cover there are some handwritten notes about the other documents connected with this file. On the cover page another reference is written, i.e. the file N° probably referring to an old system of arrangement given by the creator of the file. This file N°23829 Vol.2
79 sheets excluding the cover with the following sizes : 25x35 cm. Textual documents have been written on sheets of sizes: 20X 33 cm, 19X23cm, 20X15 cm, 20X 30cm, 18 X 25 cm, 20X18cm,20X26cm,12X20cm,20X21cm,20X16cm, 20X23cm, 20X14cm, 20X25cm,47X21cm,27X20cm.There is also a census statistical chart that measures 58X33cm.
Most of the sheets are fragile and greatly mutilated at the edges by human handling and local tags used to bind the documents.
