The file is made up of text documents (correspondence, telememo) about Ngemba and Mbu's speaking peoples areas within the Bamenda Division. The file contains data on the geography, history, demography, economy, religion, and culture of the Ngemba people. Some items are written on both sides of the sheets while some are handwritten and typed. This file has another reference which is the file N° 1078 probably referring to an old system of arrangement given by the creator of the file.
109 sheets of paper excluding the cover with the following sizes : Cover : 24X 36cm.Textual documents have been written on sheets of sizes: 20X33cm,20X17cm,21X33 cm,21X13cm,19X11cm,20X20cm,21X15cm,17X21cm, 20X10cm,11X21cm, 21X17 cm, 14X21cm,14X15 cm, 21X30cm.
Most of the sheets in the file are not very deteriorated .But the cover and some items are mutilated at the edges.
