The older cover of this file has a different title "Bamenda Division. Bamali Chieftainship". The file is made up of text documents (correspondence, telegrams, memos, notes both hand and typewritten) on the Bamali chieftainship . The file contains many administrative correspondence on the petition of Nkumbe Nduofor and others, petition of chief and council of Bangola, petition of Ngumbe Ndawfaw and others, petition of village head Bamunkumbit and others and the legend of Ndop. This file has another reference which is the file N° 2702 probably referring to an old system of arrangement given by the creator of the file. On the cover there are some handwritten notes about the previous files
96 sheets of paper excluding the two covers with the following sizes : 24X 36, 24X34cm. Textual documents have been written on sheets of sizes: 20X33, 13X20, 20X11, 21X33,21X13, 21X25, 21X17, 12X21, 21X20, 22X20, 14X29, 21X08, 15X10cm.
Most of the sheets in the file are not in good conditions of preservation. Some are mutilated at the edges and the cover has been renewed once. The original cover is labelled with writings both typed and handwritten both on the front and back side. Sheets with writings on the verso appear to have been re-purposed without any regard given to the older writings.
