Also details Lady Canning's trip from Simla to Mussoorie via Chin on the Tibetan border, accompanied by Captain Baring, Major Jones and Lord William Hay, as well as return journey from Mussoorie via landau to Allahabad, downriver to Rajmahal and back to Calcutta. Journal also covers the Viceroy's second tour, Nov 1859-Mar 1860. Refers to travels to Patna, Benares, Mirzapore, Jubbulpore & Rewah. Journal includes some small pen & ink sketches.
