Three letters from Florence Nightingale, 23 Nov 1856 giving long account of her work in Crimea & her return; 16 Sep 1857 recommending her cousin Lothian Nicholson of the Royal Engineers, & offering to travel to India to serve 'in any capacity, in my line if business, that you would direct'; & 5 Nov 1858 raising issue of intoxication of troops in India and high mortality of wives & children without proper married quarters, as at Dum Dum.
