- This text is about the teachings of the Buddha or the Dhamma in general. The colophon mentions Thao (Mr) Suvan as sponsor. As for the date when the manuscript was finished, the colophon, written in three columns, states: “In [C]S 1234, a huang sai year, on the fourth waning day of the first lunar month, the seventh weekday”. It is highly probable that the scribe twisted the numerals “3” and “4” and actually meant “CS 1243” which is a huang sai year. The corresponding date of the Gregorian calendar would then be: 10 December 1881 which was, indeed, a Saturday. Date of original material: CS 1243 (?) (huang saí year); 1881 (?). 25 folios
