12 letters from George Clerk to Sir Henry Bartle Frere, Sep 1861-Mar 1862, with envelopes. Enclosures include: copy of letter from Mr Addin? Secretary to Government at Fort St George, 10 Sep 1861; printed letter from A. Kinloch Forbes, Oct 1861; extract from report of Mr Gibbs, Special Commissioner for Income Tax, 25 Sep 1861; extract of letter from agent at Tientsin, undated; and telegram dated 8 Mar 1862. Also letter from addressed to Mr Forbes, 5 Nov 1861, from C. M. (unidentified), in envelope addressed from Clerk to Frere.
