The manuscript is composed of a text of 13 palm leaves whose a few are numbered. The manuscript is in good condition; the 4th leaf is broken. The text, written in prose, describes the process of preparation of complex medicines belonging to the categories kaṭṭu and paṟpam, especially, Nāka kaṭṭu, Kantaka kaṭṭu, Uppu kaṭṭu, Uppu paṟpam and Taḷaka paṟpam. The preparation of Vaṅka paṟpam is given according to the reputed Vēḷaikuḷi Ayyar method. The preparation of Tāmira paṟpam and Turucu paṟpam is given according to the reputed Aṇṇa Piḷḷai method. The text explains the method to purify tāmiram (copper), the medicinal uses of kaṟpūram (camphor) and vaippu (a salt) as well as the fabrication of racamaṇi (mercury pearl).
The text mentions also the Karuṭa pañcātcara mantra and yantra.
Size of the manuscript: 27,0cm x 3.3cm. Ordering of the manuscript is impossible as few palm leaves are numbered. The manuscript is in good condition; the 4th leaf is broken.
