EAP810/2/1

The manuscripts are composed of palm leaves written on the two sides. The scripts were written with the help of a stylus. The manuscripts of this series CH comprise 1 from Chennai (CH_MSS16), and 15 whose the place of origin is unknown. The majority of these 16 manuscripts deals with medical subjects such as medicinal formuations and iatrochemical processes, nosography, diagnostis and treatment. The manuscripts MSS7, MSS10 and MSS13 approach religious and epic literature; MSS8 and MSS9 concern astrology; and MSS3, MSS5, MSS6, MSS14 and MSS16 esotericism and magic, including the use of mantiram and yantiram, as well as alchemical products and processes.
