The manuscript is made of two texts, incomplete, dealing with mantiram. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
Text 1- The text, written in prose, contains 17 leaves numbered from 1 to 17. It describes mantiraṅkaḷ and their purposes such as: to control the body (uṭal kaṭṭu); to control Lord Vairava (Vairava kaṭṭu); to ward off evil spirits (picācu) and effects of negative influences (cakala tōṣam); to decrease the heat produced by fire (aṇal āṟṟum); to purify water (taṇṇīril ūti koṭukka); to cure muscle pull (mūccu piṭittal) and sprain (cuḷu); to increase lactation (pāl curakka) and to facilitate delivery; to neutralise the venom of scorpion (tēḷ), spider (cilanti) and snake (pāmpu). It presents some mantiraṅkaḷ associated to yantiraṅkaḷ used to increase the power of sacred ash (vipūti), and devoted to Vīrapatrā, Vikṉēṣvarar (Gaṇesha) and Citamparam. It indicates the goddesses which have to be worshipped to ward off evil powers and evil eye (kaḻippu tēvataikaḷ, tiruṣṭi tēvataikaḷ) and describes an amulet empowered with mantiram (muṭikkayaṟu mantiram).
Text 2- The text, written in prose, contains 11 leaves numbered from 1 to 11. It mentions also various mantiraṅkaḷ and yantiraṅkaḷ. The mantiraṅkaḷ aim to treat migraine (oruttalaivali), sprain (culu), all types of fever accompanied by chills (cakala kuḷir kāyccal), and children’s diseases (piḷḷai piṇi); to make infertile women pregnant (piḷḷai taṅkātavaḷ, piḷḷai uṇṭāka, piḷḷai peṟa muṭiyātavaḷ); to improve lactation (pāl curakka) and for retracted nipple (mulai illātavaḷ); to attain puberty when it is delayed (tiraḷātavaḷ); to get married (puruṣaṉ vēṇṭiyaval) and to get rid of marriage bond (puruṣaṉ vēṇṭātaval); to ward off evil spirits (pēy ōṭṭa) and evil power in children caused by birds (paṟavai tōṣam); to force enemies to flee from their hometown (māṟṟāṉ oṭippōka); to improve the beauty of face (muka vacīkaram uṇṭaka). The yantiram which are mentioned aims to treat rat bites (eliveṭṭu). The text mentions a mantiram written on a betel leaf (veṟṟivaiyil eḻuti uṇṇum) and a yantiram written on a copper sheet (eḻuti kaṭṭa yantiram).
Size of the manuscript: 22,0cm x 3.0cm. The text 1 is numbered from 1 to 17 and text 2 from 1 to 11. Two additional leaves are placed at the beginning and end of the manuscript, The manuscript is in excellent condition.
