In 1890, communications on the functions and services of the hospice registered the following information: the sending of the annual budget and monthly expenses, monthly reports on the movement of patients and medical statistics tables, lists of patients' stays and lists of payers, requests for the hiring of more staff for the security of the hospice, the sending of payment accounts for the repairs carried out in the hospice, requests for the purchase of blankets, construction tools and clothing. Incidents related to the hygienic conditions of the hospice are reported and prompt repairs are requested. Visits to patients are prohibited due to inconveniences reported by visitors. It is mentioned to have a greater control on the admission of patients and it is requested that the doctors indicate the levels of violence that some of them may present. A request was made to hire an additional guard for the hospice. For this year, the General Meeting of the Society of Charity appoints Mr. Carlos Ferreiros as the new inspector of the hospice, who also requests that a position be filled for a permanent doctor and another for an internal student in order to improve the quality of patient care. He also requested that the hospice chaplain be paid according to the regulations. The annual report for the financial year 1890 is included.

En el año 1890, las comunicaciones sobre las funciones y servicios del hospicio registraron la siguiente información: el envío del presupuesto anual y de los gastos mensuales, los reportes mensuales del movimiento de los pacientes y los cuadros de estadística médica, las planillas de las estancias de los pacientes y las planillas de los pagantes, solicitud de contratación de más personal para la seguridad del hospicio, el envío de cuentas de pago por las refacciones realizadas en los ambientes del hospicio, pedidos para la de compra de frazadas, instrumentos de construcción y de vestuario. Se reportan incidentes relacionados a las condiciones higiénicas del hospicio y se solicita su pronta refacción. Se prohiben las visitas a los pacientes por incovenientes reportados por parte de los visitantes. Se menciona tener un mayor control en la admisión de pacientes y se solicita que los médicos indiquen los niveles de violencia que pueden presentar algunos de ellos. Se solicita la contratación de un guardián más en los ambientes del hospicio. Para este año, la Junta General de la Sociedad de Beneficencia designa al señor Carlos Ferreiros como nuevo inspector del hospicio, quién además solicita se cubra una plaza de médico titular y otra de alumno interno para poder mejorar la calidad de atención de los pacientes. Asimismo, solicitó se le asigne al capellán del hospicio el pago que le corresponde según el reglamento. Se incluye la memoria anual del año económico de 1890.
