In 1899, the communications on the functions and services of the hospice registered the following information in this section: the sending of the ordinary expenses for the months of September, October and November, and the October report on the movement of patients and the statistical tables. The number and income collected from pensioners treated in the months of October and November is indicated. Medical leave, death and discharge of a discharged patient are reported. In the draft budget for the year 1900, a request is made for the hiring of a caretaker, an increase in the salaries of the lodgers, the insertion of the salary of the head doctor of the men's department and an increase in the value of basic necessities. The medicines that the sister apothecary requests from the central depot for the month of November are registered. The inspector proposes to accept the admission of a sick woman who does not have a guarantor to guarantee the payment of her pensions; he points out the details to be included in the project for the men's ward, such as the construction of 12 rooms and one for the lavatory and toilet, the enlargement of the dining room for pensioners and the construction of a corridor around the garden. The mother superior describes the good state of preservation of the meat used in the daily diet of the patients. Dr. Leónidas Avendaño sends the inspector a detailed inventory of the tools, apparatus and equipment of the electrotherapeutic cabinet. For this year Domingo Olavegoya signs as inspector. This section of the 1899 financial year began in October 1899 and ended in November 1899.
