The medicines ordered monthly by the apothecary sister for the hospice are recorded. The inspector informs the director that, according to the regulations, a person cannot be received on suspicion of being considered alienated. He requests that steps be taken to free the instruments purchased for the electrical cabinet from taxation. It is proposed that the electrical cabinet be moved to a more appropriate location for its operation, with the Hospice of San Andrés as an option. It is reported that the electricity company has not complied with the installation of the electric lighting for the new pensioners' pavilion. Upon completion of the construction of the rest room, the acquisition of new equipment for the entertainment of patients is requested. It is reported that, according to the regulations, foreign patients whose countries have charities in Peru must be admitted to the hospice as pensioners; furthermore, a list of foreign patients who are staying free of charge in the hospice is enclosed. The mother superior urgently requests the purchase of blankets, and bramante and cashmere fabrics for the clothing of the patients. Dr. David Matto makes a medical report on the condition of a patient with progressive general paralysis. At the request of the director, it is reported that the head doctors of the hospice are Dr. David Matto, Dr. Wenceslao Mayorga and Dr. Estanislao Pardo-Figueroa. For this year Lucas León signs as inspector. The financial year began in December 1901 and ended in December 1902.
