Seasons greetings from King George VI, New years greetings from the Secretary of state to all British colonies, road accident reports, adverts of good and services, entertainment news, orbituaries, opening of a new railay bridge in Chiromo to connect Nyasaland and Mozambique, brief on parliament hearings including opening ad closing dates, commencement of night school in Limbe, Nyasalnd African Congress conference discussions,flooding of Bua and Dwangwa rivers, public notices like change of train ticket prices, farming, wedding, birth and death announcements, Xhosa poems from South Africa, appopintment of the first African government printer Mr A.F. Brandon from Sierra Leone, wildlife news on numbers of animals killed because they werer destroying farms, opening of parliament, constitution of proposed rhodesia-nyasaland inter-territorial conference, discussion on bill to allow credit trade with Africans amending ordinance discussed at length in legislative council, court cases, imposing of income tax for Africans in Northern Rhodesia.

Condition of original material: The documents are generally in good condition, however some ink is fadind and slightly torn.
Custodial history: The Material was published at Blantyre Newspapers Limited in Blantyre district in Malawi. The news papers were then collected, and stored stored at the National Archives of Malawi repositories.
