The second part of the volume (folios 51-201) contains mainly notes by India Office officials in London, in response to press interest and questions raised in Parliament, following the agreement entered into by the Treasury and the Admiralty with the Anglo-Persian Oil Company for the supply of oil fuel to the Navy. Included in Part 2 are copies of the Official Report (Hansard) of Parliamentary Debates in the House of Commons in June 1914 and also newspaper articles from the same period. There is also a copy of a report on the Proceedings of the Oil Conference held in Delhi in January 1914, sent by the Foreign and Political Department of the Government of India to the Secretary of State for India in London, as well as a copy of Command Paper 7419 of 1914. The Command Paper contains both the Agreement with the Anglo-Persian Oil Company Limited to supply oil fuel to the Navy and also the Final Report of the Admiralty Oil Commission on the Persian Oilfields chaired by Admiral Slade, together with two maps of the Persian and Persian Gulf oil fields.
