The volume contains parts 1, 2 and 3 of the subject ‘Persia – Admiralty Oil Commission’. Part 1 (IOR/L/PS/10/410/1) concerns the Admiralty Oil Commission, which is also referred to as Admiral Slade’s Committee. Part 2 (IOR/L/PS/10/410/2) concerns the Admiralty’s contract with the Anglo-Persian Oil Company. Part 3 (IOR/L/PS/10/410/3) concerns assurances given to Russia with regard to the Admiralty’s contract. Part 3 also contains the only item of correspondence in the volume that is written in French.
Each part includes a divider which gives the subject and part numbers, the year the subject file was opened, the subject heading, and a list of the correspondence references contained in that part by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
