This Anglo-Persian Oil Company’s Concession map shows the location of oil wells in proved areas and that of reported oil shows in the Persian Gulf in Bahrain, Kuwait, the Persian Mekran coastal area, Kishm [Qishm] Island and many other sites in the north-western and southern Persian provinces of Arabistan [Khuzestan], Fars, Hormozgan, Kermanshah and Luristan. It is the second of two topographical maps that accompany the Final Report of the Admiralty Oil Commission on the Persian oilfields, which was published as Command Paper Cd. 7419 in 1914 under the title ‘Agreement with the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, Limited‘(folios 32-50, 179-197, 282-287). The map bears the printing statement ‘Malby & Sons, Lith.’ The map shows places mentioned by the Commission in their Final Report, some of which they examined on their visit in 1913.
