Contains initial inquiries from George Edward Anson, private secretary or treasurer to Prince Albert, to Octavian Blewitt, seeking his assistance with nominations to the Charterhouse, including replies from Blewitt. Also contains an extract from the Charterhouse’s statutes, numerous newspaper clippings on the Charterhouse appointment of William Moncrieff and John Davis on the ineligibility of Frederick Jones on grounds of his being a Dissenter, and two copies of printed correspondence relating to the case of Frederick Jones.
