- Letter from Charles Umpherston Aitchison to the Maharja of Puttiala, 12 January 1874, in response regarding the Viceroy's decision to appoint Major Thomas Dennehy as Political Agent in Dholepore and their hopes that the state would prosper under his guidance and that the young chief of Dholepore's education and welfare would also be well cared for.

The correspondence, and original wool tie have instead been placed in an acid-free paper folder to keep them together.
