Foliation: The file has been foliated using a pencil number enclosed in a circle, located in the top right hand corner of the recto of each folio. Some of the folios have been renumbered, with the former number has been crossed through to show it is no longer in use.
Conservation: The correspondence had been tied together using string, which has been removed to enable the letters to be read and the string has been placed at the rear of the file in a plastic sleeve.
