- A geological survey map of Bahrain drawn by Dr Henry Guy Ellcock Pilgrim of the Geological Survey of India. His pioneering survey work in Bahrain and other parts of the Persian Gulf was published in 1908 under the title ‘‘Memoirs of the Geological Survey of India’, in Volume 34, Part 4 of the series ‘Memoirs of the Geological Survey of India’. Dr Pilgrim’s geological survey of Bahrain is referred to by Dr Edwin Hall Pascoe of the Geological Survey of India, in his geological report (folios 254-266) on the Persian oilfields visited by the Admiralty Oil Commission in 1913.
