Beginning of an official letter from the keepers of the public archives Maron and Ptolemaeus to Heraclides alias Valerius, appointed by the strategus as an inspector (episkeptes) of the Oxyrhynchite nome.

Medium-brown papyrus sheet, brokwn off at the bottom and worm-eaten; writing runs on one side along the fibres; 11 lines from the top of a column remain. Upper and side margins are extant. The back is blank. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Tax Receipt (P.Fam.Tebt. 46 = Pap.Lugd.Bat. VI 46, TM 10755)
Scope & Content:
Receipt acknowledging the tax payments made by Nilus, son of Patron, for various months over two years. The amounts paid vary from 2 drachmas and 2 obols to 8 drachmas. Written on the back of another document, recording sums of money (unpublished).

Papyrus, medium-dark brown, with surface damage and holes throughout; written on both sides. On the front there are the line-ends from one column running along the fibres; some of the lines are badly abraded; right and lower margins survive. Horizontal folds are visible. The papyrus was then cut to host the text on the back, which comprises 21 lines written across the fibres the other way up in relation to the text on the front. Margins are extant. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Scope & Content:
Receipt issued by the directors of the granary (sitologoi) of Tebtynis acknowledging the payment of 6 artabas of wheat made to the account of Aurelius Cronion, son of Artemidora, through Aurelius Philosarapis, son of Lysimachus, for the tax on cleruchs. Dated to 28 October, 7 or 17 November 224.

Long and narrow papyrus sheet, medium-brown, darker in the middle, lacking the lower right corner, abraded in places and riddled with insect-holes; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, there are 20 lines. Margins are extant, the lower being ample; no margin was left on the right. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
