Fragments extracted from mummy cartonnage, some of which belong together; the writing runs on the front, and the back bears traces of plaster and painted decoration; housed in the same glass frame.
Second fragment at the top (Papyrus 2986): Medium-brown fragment, broken off on all sides; the front bears portions of 10 lines running along the fibres, the first two lines only having a few traces; the back is partly covered with plaster.
Other fragments (Papyrus 2987): Possibly all from the same papyrus; the largest fragment at the top left bears portions of 6 lines, while the traces of ink below belong to another sheet superposed; the fragment in the centre has parts of 5 lines; the fragment at the top rightcarries portions of 8 lines. The outstanding scraps preserve only a few letters. The back of the fragments is partly covered with plaster and painted decoration.
