Scope & Content:
Right-hand half of a letter to Zenon, perhaps written by Metrodorus, acknowledging receipt of gifts sent to the king on his birthday. The list of gifts follows. A papyrus in Cairo (Egyptian Museum, CG 59821) preserves another portion of this letter.

Extent:
Right-hand half of a papyrus sheet the right hand portion of which is in Cairo, Egyptian Museum (CG 59821); darker along the right edge; written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. The front bears the ends of 8 lines; upper, lower and right margins survive. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Right-hand portion of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete at the top, right and bottom; overall well preserved; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are the ends of 11 lines running across the fibres; upper, right and lower margins are extant. A sheet-join runs horizontally. On the back, there are 3 lines written along the fibres, complete. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Left-hand portion of a light-brown papyrus sheet, worm-eaten in a zigzag line along the edges; with darker patches on the right-hand side; written on both sides. The front bears the beginnings of 13 lines written across the fibres; a sheet-join runs horizontally at c. 40 mm from the bottom. The back has one line running along the fibres. Another fragment of the same papyrus is now Cairo. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame with a small opening to show the text on the back.

Two fragments of a long and narrow papyrus sheet which do not join, medium-brown, broken off at the bottom and complete at the top and on the sides; there is minor surface damage along the folds. Writing runs on both sides. On the front, there are 16 lines written along the fibres, the upper fragment bearing 6 lines, and the lower 10 lines; some lines were lost in between. The upper margin is ample; the right margin is minimal. On the back, there is one word written across the fibres the other way up in relation to the text on the front. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
