- Title:
- Houman Fravahri Collection
- Scope & Content:
- The collection contains two manuscripts, one in the form of a scroll and another one in the form of a tiny book. Both manuscripts are likely to have been composed in Kerman. Both of these manuscripts are Khordeh Avesta (Little Avesta), which contain several prayers for daily prayer. The scroll, however, is very unlikely to have been used at ceremonies, both due to its physical condition and also as its form suggests as it is very difficult for the reader to unfold and read the text. It was very probably a kind of talisman. The book, on the other hand, was used during ceremonies. The scroll includes 11 prayers while the book includes 8 prayers.
