LEAKE PAPERS. Vols. I-XII., Journals, log-books and other papers of Admiral of the Fleet Sir John Leake, Rear-Admiral of Great Britain, and (47974-47976) of his brother-in-law and heir, Captain Stephen Martin afterwards (1721) Martin Leake I, R.N. (b. 1666, d. 1736), who served under him as Flag-Captain. Also included (47977, 47978) are materials for the biographies of Admiral Leake and Captain Martin by the latter's son, S. M. Leake II, based on the foregoing papers and on Add. MSS. 5431-5443. Supplementary to Add. MS. 9326. Some volumes are annotated by S. M. Leake II. Inserted In 47969-47971 are labels indicating the loan of the volumes to an institution. Twelve volumes.
