The contents include papers relating to: the renewal of the lease, by Persia [Iran] to Muscat, of Bunder Abbass [Bandar-e ‘Abbas] and its dependencies; the question of the sovereignty of the Island of Angaum [Jaziereh-ye Hengam]; alleged infractions of the Anglo-Persian Treaty 1857 by Persian officials at Bushire [Bushehr]; and the ‘punishment’ of the rulers of Bahrein [Bahrain], Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi] and Guttar [Qatar] for allegedly disturbing the maritime peace in the Persian Gulf.
