- Asclepiades writes to Zenon to introduce the bearer of the letter, Philon, and asks that assistance be offered to him, as he is worthy of Zenon’s consideration. The address is on the back, and possibly the date, which is smudged.

- Medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete and overall well preserved, with holes in the centre and slight damage along the folds; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are 18 lines written along the fibres; all margins are extant, the right being minimal. On the back, there is a word written along the fibres to the left of the centre, and traces of smudged letters at the left-hand edge, possibly deleted, followed by an alpha. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
