- Six volumes belonging to members of the Copeman and Boord families, recording daily life, trips abroad, family recipes and an inventory of possessions.
This collection contains three diaries belonging to the Reverend Canon Arthur Charles Copeman (1824-1896) recording the early stages of his career (1856-1858), including his appointment as vicar of St Andrews, Norwich, and a walking tour of Brittany in 1864.
The Reverend's son, Sydney Monckton Copeman, married Ethel Margaret Boord, sister of Sir William Arthur Boord, poet and traveller. This collection also includes a volume recording a tour of New Zealand taken by Sir William, containing photographs and sketches, and two volumes given to Ethel on her wedding day to assist her in her household duties.
