Two papyrus sheets that do not belong together, housed in the same glass frame.

Left papyrus (A): Medium-to dark-brown papyrus sheet, complete but imperfect along part of the right edge; written on one side along the fibres; the front bears 11 lines, occupying slightly more than half of the sheet. Margins survive, the lower being ample and the right being imperfect at the top.

Right papyrus (B): Medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete, with some surface damage; written on both sides. On the front, there are the beginnings of 10 lines written along the fibres, with traces of another line at the bottom. The left margin is extant. On the back, there is a portion of one line written along the fibres.

Papyrus sheet of light colour, broken off at the bottom and damaged by insect holes throughout; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. There are portions of 23 lines, the last being very mutilated. Upper and side margins survive. A sheet-join runs from top to bottom along the right edge. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Letter concerned with sums of money and mentioning various individuals. The editor suggested that the papyrus could originate from Aphrodito, based on a reference to Hadrianus, a man connected with the administration in Aphrodito. The letter continues on the back.

On the front, there are 8 lines written across the fibres, lacking the beginnings; lower, right and upper margins are minimal. A sheet-join runs horizontally along the lower edge. On the back, there is one line continuing the text on the front, written at the top along the fibres, and, perpendicularly, two lines written across the fibres. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Two fragments of different size not belonging together, mounted on cardboard in one glass case.

Top fragment (Papyrus 1638a): Rectangular fragment of a papyrus sheet, probably folded from right to left; imperfect at top, bottom, and left side; written along the fibres on one side only.

Bottom fragment (Papyrus 1638b): Rectangular sheet of papyrus folded from the bottom upwards and written on one side along the fibres; successive marks made by the seal are visible on the upper part. Blank space separates the subscription from the receipt.

Papyrus sheet, darker in the right half, with few holes and surface damage in places; written on one side along the fibres, with the back blank. On the front, there are 6 lines, which occupy the upper half of the sheet. Margins are extant, with only the upper right corner being mutilated. The blank space at the bottom measures 100 mm. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
