Scope & Content:

Correspondence and political papers of William Pitt, the majority of which derive from Pitt's second Ministry (1804-1806), although some earlier papers are included.

The Series includes a single File of letters from Lady Augusta Murray to Adams (Add MS 89036/1/18) concerning her (reduced) financial circumstances. The File includes an affectionate letter of some length from Prince Augustus Frederick to his 'Dear Wife' (dated 2 May 1795).
