Seventy-seven fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, mounted on cardboard in three glass frames named Papyrus 2054(1), Papyrus 2054(2), and Papyrus 2054(3). The fragments are numbered from 1 to 69, and from 1* to 9*. The text runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank, with portions of 14 columns and additional small fragments. Each column has 21-23 lines on average. The black is blank.

Portion of a papyrus roll, medium-brown, with detached scraps; fair condition, with minor surface damage in places; written on both sides. The text on the front runs along the fibres and is broken off on the sides; portions of three columns survive, with 40 lines to the column; the second column is complete and measures 155 x 205 mm; margins are very narrow. A sheet-join is visible left of centre. On the back, there are three columns, overall well preserved and almost complete, running across the fibres and written the other way up in relation to the text on the front; traces of a fourth column are visible. The first column is preceded by ample blank space; intercolumn and part of the upper and lower margins survive. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

The front bears portions of one column and the upper margin; the detached fragment contains traces of two lines from the foot of a column, and the lower margin. At a later stage, a parchment tag was attached onto the verso, at the top of the roll, with two lines on the outer side. The tag is a palimpsest, as remnants of three earlier lines are visible. Fragments from a papyrus codex, additional fragments of which are now in Cologne, Papyrussammlung (inv. P. 2554). The text is arranged in a layout not particularly elegant. Each page of the original codex measured 300 x 230 mm, with a written space 170 mm wide and a variable height of c. 230 mm. The number of lines per page (65–9) is remarkable and unparalleled. Two of the preserved speeches are separated by an explicit/incipit, partly preserved. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
