Contains documents relating to Literary Fund’s Clerks, Secretaries and Collectors. The Clerk (later the Secretary) ran the day-to-day affairs of the Fund, the position becoming increasingly important as the nineteenth century progressed. This box contains nine folders relating to these positions, which contain documents related to their holders’ appointments, to others who applied for the positions and, in some cases, letters relating to work done and to resignations:

- Clerk and Collector – Mr Henry Leave
- Clerk and Collector – Mr Joseph Snow
- Secretary – Mr Cusack Patrick Roney
- Secretary – Offers of Gratuitous Services
- Secretary – Reverend Whittington Henry Landon
- Secretary – Mr Octavian Blewitt
- Clerk (later Secretary) – Mr Arthur Llewelyn Roberts
The Collectors were rather less involved with the business of the Fund, their duties being mostly confined to the collection of monies from subscribers and donors. The folders detailing them include applications, bonds, resignations and associated administrative letters, as well as in some cases documents describing their work:
